Price & Map Location
We stayed in the Chalet, a one-bedroom unit (ground floor). It costs us R3,186 for two nights for two people via Booking.com. That’s an excellent price in the area, to say the least!

Kairos on the Lake: Our Experience (1 to 3 Dec 2023)
First and most importantly for us at Eats & Sleeps, it’s the parking and security. As we arrived at Kairos on the Lake, we were met with hosts Penny and Warren, who welcomed us with open arms, provided us with keys and a button to open their secure gate, and let us enjoy the views.
Our accommodation, the Chalet, was feature-filled, with our own fully-equipped kitchen, a great bathroom, a living area (with Wi-Fi and even Netflix!), and an excellent, huge bed. The only thing we would have liked is a ceiling fan or maybe airconditioning in the Chalet. Thankfully, the ventilation is nice and solid, the linen is comfortable, and the towels are super fluffy.
There’s a whole little area to explore at Kairos on the Lake, and I even had a little dip in the clear and bright swimming pool. Outside features also include a braai area (BBQ), some small canoes you can paddle around the lake with, and great fishing equipment for your enjoyment, all free of charge.
One of the most important features that Kairos on the Lake offers for South Africans is the loadshedding solution. You don’t have to worry about power outages since the property has a backup power solution that isn’t nosy.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will return soon. You’ll get an update btw 🙂
