We aren’t going to go off on a whole stupid rant and use dozens of descriptors here or a long list of ingredients with some theme you can purchase. Instead, let’s just dive straight in as we explain how we made a basic but tasty cheeseburger recipe.
Ingredients & Cook Time
You can skip making the patties and just buy some at the store, tbh. If you wanna make them yourself, go for it by mixing the following ingredients well and let them cool in the fridge for 15 minutes:
- 500g Lean Mince
- 250g Pork Mince
- 4 tbsp of salt
- 1 tbsp pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic (fresh if possible)
- 1 tbsp parsley
- 1tbsp paprika
- 1 egg (raw, ofc)
These ingredients are for 6 patties. Multiply if you want 12, or whatever, maths is hard. Now, you are ready to make your cheeseburger, basic but delicious!
How To Make The Basic Cheese Burger

Form the patties with your hands, or use a round ring mold you’ve bought. Turn up your stovetop plate to high heat, drop in some olive oil (not a lot for non-stick pans), and throw in your patties. Shred some cheese and keep it to the side. Once your patties are almost done (roughly 6 minutes, turning once at 3 minutes), throw your cheese on top.
What we loved was going crispy and flipping the patty with the cheese, now swimming in the bit of oil. Do this twice, and you’ll have a crispy, cheesy exterior. Once all the patties are done, cut your buns (come on, did we have to say that?), butter them, and throw some more shredded cheese on the bottom bun.
Drop some tomato sauce (I like a lot of sauce) on the shredded cheese. On the top-end bun, drop some mayonnaise (your favorite, but we recommend a sweetish variant). Heat the patty again in the microwave until super hot, then throw it up on the bun with cheese and tomato sauce so it all melts together.
What are you waiting for? Close the top bun and eat your basic cheeseburger, you hooligan…
What about tomatoes and lettuce? Sure, you can add those “ingredients,” but you already get a crisp from the way we prepared the patties with cheese in oil. Your choice!
